Hospital Diary

 Day 6-  Hospital Diary.

Wednesday is a day of hope in offices, specially those working 5 days a week. A mid week course corrections and planning for weekend is the norm. Wednesday makes you reliase that, the weekend is not far, just brace up for 02 more days. So what looked a big mountain of work on monday, slowly the  same work has somw clarity and priority in it. It is a kind of the day when you can go for mid week three cheers too. Well all that is part of your ritual if you are normally working

Well coming to the day, it was nice to have good slp back, the AC was functional so had a sound slp except for minor disturbances. Got up at 0545 h , i am sharing room with 02 more person. So getting up early helps in a way that you finish your daily evolutions early.  I went for a  good walk of2.5 Km ( 500 mtr increase) and did Yoga exercise,  did even a bit of Hyperventilation ( could hold tdy for 51 seconds). After 50 minutes of  exercise, took bath and wait for brrakfast commenced.  Tdy after long had egg in breakfast, actually veg breakfast had hardly anything to get you energy, so had boiled eggs. was had healthy breakfast ie upma with sambhar. After that i wanted to check about my discharge papers, as if i start tdy, the same will be ready by Friday.    The doctors in round also gave clearance for Friday, actually having undergone this disease, i feel the main impact (severe) is on first three days, but most of the time we don't go for test as after 2-3 days we find ourselves normal, that is why most of the asymptomatic cases here find 10 days long. But let me warn you, this disease spreads to others in these 10 days the fastest and unpredictable nature of the disease can't give u hint when it becomes bad.

So my advice, plz follow due diligence and even if you get bored by isolation,  do stay isolated as you will help others.

Today out here, it was the last day for set of doctors who used to come for checking us, basically they had finished there 10 days social service is what i can say, i say that as most of them were from outside hospitals which are in and around this hospitals. They too will go RT PCR tmrw and after that they head home. They were looking quite relieved,  had to be, as they are 24x7 in the PPE kit in hospital and at times this gets on the nerves. So seeing there happy eyes, during rounds i happen to ask the doctor that hopefully i will get discharged on Friday, he said we can send you even today but for the protocol. After the rounds i started looking again into my books as had to pass time till 1300h(lunch).

Today had good lunch, they had good food too. I njoied the lunch, i find the curd out here,  one of the best curds i had till date, it is so thick and so refreshing. I generally end up having two big plastic cups, i think it also helps in good Afternoon nap, afternoon nap for patients is like there birth right. I am big advocate of Afternoon sleep, in my office also despite ppl being there i make a point to doze off for at least 15 minutes in my chair, it genuinely helps me keeping fresh for the long evening work ahead. So with lunch over, went for slp at 1400 h and woke up at 1545h. I woke up after that, had Tea, i think by the end of my stay here, i will start hating the Tea, these guys make pathetic Tea. I am a big Tea fan and don't want to loose my taste for Tea coz of this.

After Tea, sat with fellow  patients admitted, discussed general happiness and also normal shop talk. I feel, out here most of the patients are asymptomatic one and most likely they got admitted after the peak fever, body ache or headache got over. Went for a small walk to just keep body moving. After that had dinner and went into shell in my bed.

My health remians the same ie no grt fever (last measured was 97.4) , no grt drop in SPO2 (98).

Pray all stay safe, stay healthy. Will seee if any good story comes out on Day 7. Tomorrow is Thursday 'day of Sai', i believe all gods but guess god doesn't belive in me, 'Hotha hai, kuch logon ko bhagawan pasand nahi karthe'. I don't feel bad, it is God's choice u c.
